Sulphurous amino acid requirement for barrows swine maintained in different thermal environment from 15 to 30 kg
In order to evaluate the digestible sulphurous amino acids for barrows maintained in different thermal environments in the initial growing phase a total of 130 animals were used. In the experiment I 70 animals were maintained in thermoneutral environment. The experimental design used was that of randomized blocks with five treatments (0.465, 0.511, 0.558, 0.605 and 0.652% de methionine and cystine digestible) seven replicates and two animals per experimental unity. The digestible methionine+cystine levels of the diet influenced in a quadratic way the average daily gain that increased until the level of 0.596% and the feed:gain ratio that also reduced in a quadratic way until the level of 0.627%. It was not observed the effect of the treatments on feed intake of the animals. The digestible methionine and cystine intake increased in a linear way with the increasing of digestible methionine and cystine levels in the diets. In relation of fat (FD) and protein (PD) depositions was verified that the treatments influenced the PD with an increased in a quadratic way until the level of 0.630% while the FD was not influenced. In the experiment II 60 barrows swine were maintained in high environmental temperature using the same treatments of experiment xI. The levels of digestible methionine and cystine influenced the daily weight gain that increased and the feed:gain ratio that reduced in a linear way being that the feed gain ratio stayed in a plateau from 0.558%. The effect of the treatments on the daily feed intake was not observed. The digestible methionine and cystine intake increased in a linear way with the increasing of digestible methionine and cystine levels in the diets. The treatments influenced in a quadratic way the fat deposition that reduced until the level of 0.508% of digestible amino acids sulphurous and in a crescent linear way the protein deposition. It was concluded that sulphurous amino acids requirement from 15 to 30 kg maintained in a high environmental temperature from 15 to 30 kg is 0.558% of digestible methionine and cystine in the diet corresponding to a digestible methionine and cystine:digestible lysine ratio of 60% and when the animals are maintained in a thermoneutral environment is 0.596 and 0.627% corresponding to a digestible methionine and cystine:digestible lysine ratio of 64 and 67%, respectively.
