Qualidade fisiologica de sementes de linhagens de soja sem lipoxigenases

Abstract

Para avaliar possíveis alterações na qualidade fisiológica de sementes de soja, pela retirada das isoenzimas lipoxigenases (LOX l, 2 e 3), foram feitas avaliações em linhagens, com ausência das mesmas, submetidas a retardamento de colheita no campo. Foram utilizadas sementes dos cultivares Cristalina, Doko e [AC-12 com ou sem LOX, colhidas em quatro épocas: no estádio R8 e com 15, 30 e 45 dias de retardamento no campo. Avaliou-se a qualidade fisiológica pelo teste de germinação e de envelhecimento acelerado. Foi realizado também o teste de sanidade de sementes. Os genótipos analisados, sendo materiais distintos, apresentaram comportamento diferenciado. A porcentagem de germinação das linhagens sem LOX foi inferior à dos cultivares com LOX, excetuando-se linhagem Cristalina sem LOX, que foi superior. Tanto cultivares com LOX quanto linhagens sem LOX apresentaram perda de vigor com o retardamento de colheita, ressaltando-se que as linhagens sem LOX mostraram-se menos vigorosas. Houve maior incidência de fungos nas linhagens sem LOX. Os cultivares Cristalina, Doko com LOX ou sem elas e IAC-12 apresentaram grande ataque de fungos, e que, possivelmente, foi responsável por perdas no se:: poder germinativo e no vigor das suas sementes.

In tests aiming to observe possible changes in the physiological quality of soybean seeds by the removal of the lipoxygenase isoenzymes (LOX 1, 2 and 3), lines were evaluated with or without these lipoxygenases submitted to delayed harvest in the field. Seeds of cultivars Cristalina, Doko and IAC-12 and their lines lacking LOX, were utilized. The seeds were harvested at the R8 stage and at 15, 30 and 45 days of harvest delay. The physiological quality was evaluated using the standard germination test and the accelerated aging test. A seed sanitary test was also carried out. Since they were distinct, the analyzed lines showed differentiated behavior. The germination percentage of lines lacking LOX was inferior to that of those having LOX, except for the cultivar Cristalina, which lacked LOX but was superior. Both lines, without and with LOX, showed vigour loss due to harvest delay. The lines lacking LOX were the least vigorous. There was a greater incidence of fungi in the lines lacking LOX. The cultivars Cristalina, Doko with and without LOX and IAC-12 showed a significant presence of fungi, what was possibly responsible for their loss in the gerrninating capacity and vigour.
