The Table Lands Sergipanos trays are part of a agroecosystem of great importance in the Northeast by expressive resident population quota, about 45%, but also by the crop of the sugar cane, fruit-growing, annual crops and livestock. Despite its importance, the Table Lands have physical limitations such as cohesion physical and disability chemistry soil, in the region in which they occur, there is irregular distribution of rainfall, which are concentrated in a small period of the year. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the influence of different management systems in the physical and hydrics properties as penetration resistance, density of the soil, percentage of water stable aggregates, mean weight diameter, macroporosity, microporosity, total porosity, field capacity , wilting point and available water content in Red-Yellow Ultisol the Table Lands Sergipanos region. The management systems were: conventional tillage (plowing with disc harrows + plowing + disc harrowing), minimum tillage (one disking or harrowing with disc, the second harrowing when the high incidence of weeds), no-tillage (consisting of untilled soil), managed in conditions of cultivation with corn (Zea mays L.) and native vegetation of spontaneous growth, after deactivation of the system of pasture and citrus cultivation. Under the conditions of the Table Lands Sergipanos found that the management systems influence the physical and hydrics properties of soil, and the conventional tillage to have provided greater disruption of the soil, resulted in lower values percentage of water stable aggregates, average diameter, field capacity and available water. Have no-tillage management system was the more approached to the native vegetation in terms of physical and hydrics properties, obtaining higher values of percentage of water stable aggregates, mean weight diameter, field capacity, available water content, and smaller values of density and mechanical resistance layers 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm. However, provided a higher density of the soil and compaction in the surface layer, requiring periodic chiseling and crop rotation to improve soil structure in this layer. The no-tillage can be considered a viable alternative to low-intervention in agriculture through, for providing better physical structure and water retention in the soil.eng
