Efeitos subletais da deltametrina em larvas de Aedes aegypti

Abstract

O Aedes aegypti tem sido objeto de inúmeros estudos devido à sua relevância epidemiológica. Nesse sentido, vários trabalhos têm considerado a relação da utilização de inseticidas e mecanismos de resistência no mosquito. Tendo em vista que, a deltametrina é um dos compostos usados no controle do mosquito, a presente tese constitui um estudo dos efeitos subletais da deltametrina em larvas de quarto instar (L4) de linhagens resistentes e suscetíveis de Ae. aegypti, avaliando o estresse oxidativo e os danos teciduais no intestino e gânglio cerebral. O primeiro capítulo da tese é um artigo de revisão sobre os efeitos subletais da deltametrina, focado em Ae. aegypti. Nele são detalhados o mecanismo de ação do inseticida, aspectos relacionados à resistência, tais como mutações, resistência metabólica, cuticular e os efeitos subletais propriamente ditos. O segundo capítulo versa sobre a análise comparativa dos efeitos subletais da deltametrina em larvas L4 resistentes e susceptíveis de Ae. aegypti. O terceiro capítulo embora tenha como objeto de estudo o Ae. aegypti, não trata de experimentos referentes ao assunto principal da tese. Ele trata dos resultados obtidos com a infecção da glândula salivar de fêmeas de Ae. aegypti pelo Zika vírus. Palavras-chave: Aedes aegypti. Deltametrina. Extresse oxidativo. Intestino. Cabeça.

Aedes aegypti has been the subject of numerous studies due to its epidemiological importance. In this sense, several studies have considered the relationship between the use of insecticides and resistance mechanisms in mosquitos. Considering that deltamethrin is one of the most compounds used in water to control mosquito immature, the present work studied the sublethal effects of deltamethrin in fourth instar larvae (L4) of a resistant strain and a susceptible strain of Ae. aegypti, evaluating oxidative stress and tissue damage in the midgut and head of the L4. This work has three chapters: the first chapter is a review article about the sublethal effects of deltamethrin in Ae. aegypti. It details the mechanism of action of the insecticide, aspects related to resistance, including mutations, metabolic, cuticular resistance, and sublethal effects. The second chapter regards the comparative analysis of the sublethal effects of deltamethrin in resistant and susceptible L4 of Ae. aegypti. The third chapter is an extra chapter that brings the results obtained at the beginning of the doctorate, in which the infection of the salivary gland in females of Ae. aegypti by the Zika virus was performed.
